The Squash AUTOM and Squash DEVOPS 2022-02 release is available.
This release adds, for users having a Squash AUTOM Premium license, the support of Katalon tests.
Katalon Studio is a versatile tool, it supports the testing of:
• Web applications (it embeds Selenium): Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Internet Explorer (from 9 to 11), Safari
• Mobile applications (it embeds Appium): Android and iOS
• Web services: REST, SOAP
• Windows applications: UWP, WinForms, WPF, Win32
It has a free version and an enterprise one.
Squash AUTOM and Squash DEVOPS use the Katalon Runtime Engine to run the tests, so it is necessary to own a license of this one.
As a reminder, new versions of Squash AUTOM and DEVOPS are released monthly (except in August). The 2022-03 version will add the possibility to use the Orchestrator as a simple quality gate in a CI/CD pipeline. This feature was initially scheduled for 2022-02, but it has not been adequately validated, so it is strongly advised to not use it for the time being.
Every AUTOM/DEVOPS release contains several components having each one their own version numbers. You can view them in the Release Notes by version.
